Clark County Library recently issued the following announcement.
Molly Smith Metzler’s play Cry It Out is about the reality of motherhood in the 21st century and the nature of friendship. Two Long Island moms with newborns bond over coffee in a backyard. When a nearby stranger who lives up the hill asks to join them in their coffee klatch, it complicates the neighborly camaraderie. A comedy with dark edges, Cry It Out takes an honest look at the absurdities of being home with a baby, the power of female friendship, the dilemma of going back to work, and the effect class has on parenthood in America.
The performance is intended for mature audiences. Following the staged reading, A Public Fit Theatre Company artists will continue the conversation with The Buzzz, an interactive discussion between the production cast/crew and the audience.
Free and open to the public. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, call 702.507.3459.
Presented in partnership with A Public Fit Theatre Company.
